Teach every student the content standards 

• from a curriculum that is rigorous and aligned to local, KCAS, and national standards
• that are directed by student friendly learning targets, I can statements, pacing guides, unit and lessons plans that are aligned with the content standards
• that actively engages all students in relevant and researched based instructional practices that are appropriate for content and contribute to student learning
• using instructional strategies and learning tasks that facilitate multiple levels of learning and addresses multiple learning styles
• using available technology to implement instruction that facilitates student learning
• implementing instruction based on diverse student needs and assessment data
• using time effectively

Assess and monitor for master of the content standards 

• Plan assessments that are aligned to the standards and guide instruction and measure learning objective/targets
• Use walkthrough/observation data to monitor mastery of content
• Use pre, formative and summative assessments to inform and modify instruction
• Allow for student self assessment
• Use multiple assessments to check student progress and mastery
