Clark County Board/District Goals
2011-2014

1. The Five Keys to Excellence will be implemented in every classroom.

• Teach every student the content standards
• Assess and monitor for mastery of the content standards
• Help students who do not master the standards and
• Provide enrichment opportunities for students who have mastered the content standards
• Create and maintain a positive learning climate
Build positive relationships with students and their families

2. All students will be reading on grade level by the time they exit Grade 3, Grade 5, Grade 8, and Grade 12.

3. All students will be performing math on grade level by the time they exit Grade 3, Grade 5, Grade 8, and Grade 12.

4. By 2014-2015, the district will increase College and Career Readiness percentages by 50% (to 71 % improvement goal).

5. By May 2014, the district’s non academic rates will be: Attendance, 95.10%; Graduation Rate, 89%; Transition Rate, 95.81%; Retention Rate, less than 1 %; Drop-out Rate, less than 1%.

6. The Board team and District leadership will communicate, inform and highlight for the community and stakeholders district and school initiatives, events and activities.

7. Board/District communications, both internal and external, will reflect clarity, professionalism, and improved customer service with the community and stakeholders.
