Shearer Student 1st Place for MLK Jr. Essay

T. Wright, Shearer Elementary School 3rd grade student, won first place in the statewide Martin Luther King, Jr. Kindergarten thru Third Grade Essay Contest - "The King and Me."  Wright met Governor Beshear (photo attached) and was awarded a certificate along with a $200 savings bond.  His kindergarten teacher Angela Hummel encouraged him to enter the contest.  Sara Berry is his homeroom teacher.
