Eleven students from Clark Co. Public Schools were very successful recently at the STLP State Championship, which was held online this year due to COVID-19. STLP is a year-long, statewide program where students plan, design, and create projects that use technology to impact the community, assist peers and teachers, and solve problems.
Campbell's biggest winner was Madelyn Settles, who won 1st in the State for her Screen Capture Tutorial on customizing your Google Home Screen. (The image above is a screenshot from this tutorial video.) Additionally, Campbell students Rileigh Reed, Caleb Bush, Priya Patel, and the "Bed Heads" team of Joby Mitmesser, Christian Ison, Ryan Jackson, and Clay Turley all advanced to the State Competition's final round, which is a huge accomplishment, as well.
GRC had two students recognized at the State Competition: Sydney Partin and Kennedy Partin, who both received awards in the "Blogger Corps" category.
Rounding out our district's success, Phoenix Academy's Sarah Townsend qualified for the final round for her entry in the "Original Photo" category.
Many of these students are or were members of Mrs. Damonica Partin's STLP Class at Campbell Junior High.
