Clark County Public Schools would like to announce that Mrs. Julie Bonfield has accepted and assumed the role of Principal at William G. Conkwright Elementary School. Mrs. Bonfield has accrued 16 successful years of experience as an educator, with 13 of those years as a 4th and 5th grade Elementary Education teacher in Montgomery County. Along with her classroom experience, she has also served as a district curriculum specialist and an assistant principal.
Mrs. Bonfield received her Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Murray State University in 2000 and a Masters in Elementary Education in 2008 from Morehead State University. She received her Rank 1 and Educational Leadership Certification in Administration from Morehead State University in 2014.
Mrs. Bonfield values a student-centered culture with a desire for all students to learn at high levels. She is excited to begin this new chapter in her career as the Principal at Conkwright. She is committed to helping all students and staff members reach their highest potential. She also believes in meaningful relationships between students, families, and the community as the key to educational success. In fact, one of her favorite quotes comes from Henry Ford: "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success." Mrs. Bonfield is grateful to be serving the Clark County Community, where excellence in education is of the utmost importance.
Mrs. Bonfield resides in Montgomery County with her husband, Patrick Bonfield, and 12-year-old son (Logan) and 5-year-old son (Brooks).
